More than £4,000 has been raised to assist Keeley Turner, who was seriously injured while intervening in the fatal stabbing of her mother in west London. Ms Turner, 32, was stabbed twice on 18 August as she tried to prevent her mother, Samantha Turner, 52, from being attacked.
Samantha Turner, a mother-of-four, died after sustaining 70 stab wounds at her home in Shepherd's Bush. Despite her own injuries, Ms Turner managed to call 999.
Alan Dore, 48, from Shepherd's Bush, has been charged with murder and attempted murder. He is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey for a plea hearing on 9 November.
Ms Turner, who has two children aged seven and three, was taken to hospital for emergency surgery. She has since been discharged and is recovering with relatives, according to her aunt, Sarah Thompson. Ms Turner cannot return to the family home and has left behind belongings.
Donations are intended to help Ms Turner resettle with her young family and cover funeral costs.
