Crystal Palace came from behind to beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Selhurst Park on Sunday, dealing former boss Oliver Glasner a blow on his first return to the ground.
Dan Ndoye opened the scoring in the third minute after an intercepted Anan Khalaili header intended for Eagles goalkeeper Walter Benitez, who was again filling in for the injured captain Dean Henderson. Forest dominated much of the first half but wasted a series of chances, with Benitez saving from Ndoye and Morgan Gibbs-White striking the underside of the crossbar.
Daichi Kamada drew Palace level with his first Premier League goal in the 41st minute, a finish confirmed by a VAR check after good link-up play involving Jorgen Strand Larsen and Quinten Timber. Jefferson Lerma then nodded the hosts into the lead in first-half stoppage time from a corner, planting the ball through a crowd between the legs of Forest keeper Matz Sels.
Yeremy Pino added a cushion in the 59th minute, prodding home after Sels had saved a Strand Larsen effort, with the goal also upheld by VAR. Benitez produced another fine save late on to deny Chris Wood any chance of a Forest comeback.
It was a first home Premier League victory for Palace boss Pierre Sage, who was appointed following Glasner's summer exit. Glasner, who led Palace to the FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League, joined Forest after tension between the clubs sparked by the legal fallout from Palace's demotion to the Conference League before the 2025-26 season. He and returning right-back Daniel Munoz were greeted warmly, save for a "you're getting sacked in the morning" chant minutes before the final whistle.
