Huda Ammori, co-founder of direct action group Palestine Action, has been granted permission by the UK's Supreme Court to challenge the ban against the organisation. The group was proscribed as a terrorist organisation in July 2025.
The Supreme Court announced on Thursday that Ms Ammori could appeal against a Court of Appeal decision that had overturned a High Court ruling. The High Court had previously found the ban to be disproportionate and unlawful in February 2026.
The Supreme Court case is scheduled to be heard in the final quarter of this year. The legal status of over 3,500 arrests made for alleged support of Palestine Action since the ban remains uncertain, with their cases on hold pending the resolution of the proscription's legality.
