Patriot Platform, a new group established by Daniel Thomas (also known as Danny Tommo), held protests in Dover on Saturday and Portsmouth on Sunday. Members of the group were dressed in balaclavas. No arrests were made in Dover, and the protest was deemed peaceful there.
In Portsmouth, following the protest, Hampshire police issued a dispersal order. Police car windscreens were smashed, and local residents were advised to avoid the area.
Separately, at a Reform Party event over the weekend, delegates reportedly physically attacked a female protester. Footage reportedly showed one man attempting to grab a woman by her neck and another appearing to try and hit her with his crutch. West Midlands police have appealed for the woman to come forward.
Daniel Thomas has previously served prison time for a kidnapping. Kevin Jones of the Thanet Patriots has pleaded guilty to wounding and assault of his partner and her mother. Adrian Clark, also of Thanet, gave a speech in August referencing past actions.
