Comedian Paul Whitehouse was reportedly mugged at a cash point in Islington, London, this week. His wife, Dr Mine Conkbayir, shared details of the incident on Instagram, stating that Whitehouse had been collecting medication for her after she experienced a "bad reaction" to treatment.
Dr Conkbayir reported that Whitehouse "did fight back and retrieved his card, with the perp scuttling away empty-handed." She added that she posted about the incident at his request, hoping it would encourage others to be more aware when out.
Dr Conkbayir urged people to be "super vigilant" while on the streets. Whitehouse, 68, is known for his roles in "The Fast Show" and "Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing."
