A spark has been reignited, as two trailblazing figures behind the boundary-pushing PC Music label, A. G. Cook and Danny L Harle, are set to breathe new life into their collaborative project Dux Content. Thirteen years on from laying the groundwork for a hyperpop revolution with PC Music, this reunion is a masterclass in creative rebirth.
The duo's early experiments as Dux Content, particularly their 2013 album 'Lifestyle', was among the trailblazing releases that kick-started the PC Music journey. Now, they're giving fans a second chance to experience it anew – alongside two previously unreleased bonus tracks, 'Business Class' and 'Rouge'. The re-release drops on 10th July via PC Music, available digitally and on vinyl.
Since co-founding PC Music, both Cook and Harle have carved out their own paths in the music industry. A. G. Cook has collaborated with heavy-hitters like Beyoncé and Oklou, while also serving as executive producer for Charli XCX's albums since 2017 – including her forthcoming record 'Music, Fashion, Film'. His own studio album, 'Britpop', released this year, served as a poignant tribute to the late SOPHIE, who left an indelible mark on the hyperpop genre.
Danny L Harle has built a résumé that's just as impressive. He's lent his production and songwriting skills to iconic releases from Dua Lipa ('Radical Optimism'), Caroline Polachek ('Pang' and 'Desire, I Want To Turn Into You') and Olly Alexander ('Polari'). Not to mention his own critically-acclaimed debut studio album, 'Cerulean', released earlier this year.
The return of Dux Content is a testament to the lasting impact of PC Music's innovative spirit. The remastered 'Lifestyle' album promises to ignite a fresh wave of excitement among fans who've been waiting for their next fix of Cook and Harle's futuristic electronic soundscapes and pop-infused magic.
