A host of celebrated entertainers, including acclaimed British actors Idris Elba and Lisa Kudrow, are set to receive stars on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame as part of the prestigious Class of 2027. The full list of honourees, also featuring Pedro Pascal and the band Linkin Park, was officially unveiled by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce during a news conference on Thursday.
The selections, meticulously chosen by the Walk of Fame Selection Committee from hundreds of nominations and ratified by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, span various categories. Actress Ming-Na Wen announced the motion picture and television categories, while recording artist Sheila E. introduced the recording honourees. Chamber President and CEO Ron Frierson revealed the remaining recipients.
Among those recognised in motion pictures are comedy duo Cheech and Chong, Sam Elliott, Kate Hudson, Delroy Lindo, Sam Rockwell, and Ted Sarandos. Notably, sisters Elle and Dakota Fanning will make history as the first sister duo to receive a double star ceremony, marking a unique moment in the Walk of Fame's legacy.
Television honourees include David Alan Grier, Bill Lawrence, Adam Scott, Jeff Probst, Keke Palmer, and Raven-Symoné. In the recording category, stars will be awarded to Karol G, David Guetta, Waylon Jennings (posthumously), the Ramones, Grandmaster Flash, Mark Shaiman, Sia, the Smashing Pumpkins, and Lil Wayne.
Further honourees include Jo Koy, Nicole Scherzinger, and Roberto Bolle for Live Theatre/Live Performance. Former NFL coach Jimmy Johnson was selected in the Sports Entertainment category, and Charlamagne tha God will receive a star in the Radio category. Peter Roth, Walk of Fame Selection Chairman, commented on the selections, stating that these individuals have made a lasting impact globally through their talent and dedication, and the committee looks forward to celebrating their place in Hollywood history.
