Birmingham Phoenix have secured their first victory in the women's Hundred, beating Welsh Fire by seven wickets in a thrilling encounter at Edgbaston. Ellyse Perry, with an unbeaten 68 from 46 balls, and Alice Capsey, who scored 51 from 29 deliveries and took two wickets, were the standout performers.
Chasing 145, Phoenix reached their target with one ball to spare. Capsey and Perry formed a crucial 86-run third-wicket partnership after early wickets. Despite a late wobble, captain Perry guided her team to victory with a six and a four in the final set of balls.
