London-listed fintech Plus500 has revealed plans to launch a 'super-app' in early 2027, which will initially be available only to users in the United States. The announcement follows the company's acquisition of US retail investor platform Hedge.
Plus500, which began operations in the UK in 2008, expanded into the US in 2021. The US market has since become one of its largest revenue drivers, with the company recording its highest customer income growth in five years during the first half of 2026.
Company boss David Zruia has previously stated that a US listing could lead to a higher valuation for the firm, which he believes is currently valued as a financial services firm rather than a technology firm. The new super-app initiative is seen as a move to reinforce Plus500's perception in the technology sector and compete with firms like Robinhood in the US retail investment market.
