  • The colt, trained by Francis-Henri Graffard, has a draw in stall five.
  • Daryz finished third behind Kalpana in the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot in July.

Daryz, a four-year-old colt, is set to compete in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe this weekend, aiming for a second victory in the race. If successful, Daryz would join a select group of only three colts who have won the Arc twice since the end of the Second World War, the most recent being Alleged in 1977 and 1978.

Trained by Francis-Henri Graffard and ridden by Mickael Barzalona, Daryz has a draw in stall five. The colt previously finished third in the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot in July, six lengths behind winner Kalpana.

Other horses attempting to repeat their three-year-old success in the Arc since 2005 include Bago (third), Hurricane Run (third), and Workforce (unplaced).
