Estate agents who turn to professionally produced property videos on social media have seen online engagement skyrocket, with video posts generating approximately six times more impressions than those featuring static images. PropertyBox, a leading property marketing platform, has analysed data from June 2026 and revealed the remarkable impact of video content.
During June, video content created through PropertyBox's platform racked up an impressive 8.1 million impressions and 212,000 clicks to agents' websites. On average, each video post delivered 1,851 impressions, 701 views, and 48 website clicks – a significant boost in online visibility.
As the market remains challenging, with UK home sales down by 10.4% across all regions in June, effective marketing strategies have become crucial. Research suggests that professionally marketed properties are 28.3% more likely to complete a sale and achieve sale prices averaging 1.9% higher than comparable listings – potentially translating to an additional £7,356 for sellers.
With 44% of UK homes remaining unsold after three years, PropertyBox's chief executive Lee Wainwright stressed the importance of adapting to changing consumer behaviour online. He noted that agents who create attention-grabbing video content are dominating social media feeds and driving significant traffic directly to their own websites.
PropertyBox's platform integrates professional photography with AI tools to streamline content creation from a single property shoot, potentially giving agents an edge in the market. However, it is essential to note that these figures only reflect PropertyBox's performance and not the broader estate agency sector – independent verification would provide a more comprehensive understanding of this trend.
