Paris St-Germain has rejected multiple offers from Manchester City for their Nigerian midfielder Jennifer Echegini. The 25-year-old is regarded as a key player at PSG, and sources at the French club indicate they are unwilling to sell her with a year left on her contract.
Echegini, who spent most of her youth career in England, has been with PSG for two years following a season at Juventus. She scored the winning goal in last year's Women's Africa Cup of Nations final, securing Nigeria's 10th title.
Manchester City faces a looming deadline, with Thursday marking the final day for player signings before the Women's Super League season kicks off this weekend. This comes after news earlier in the week that midfielder Vivianne Miedema will miss the start of the season due to a knee injury.
