Football legend Sergio Ramos, 40, a free agent, could be in line for a shock move to Madrid-based Getafe. This potential return to the Spanish capital comes as the defender is currently without a club.

Meanwhile, Florian Wirtz, 23, has stated his intention to remain at Liverpool. Reports had suggested possible interest from Chelsea, managed by his former Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso, but Wirtz has no plans to depart.

In other transfer news, Bournemouth could reportedly ask for more than £100m for English midfielder Alex Scott, 23. Scott is said to be attracting interest from both Chelsea and Liverpool.

Tottenham are continuing to monitor Eintracht Frankfurt's German forward Younes Ebnoutalib, 23. Newcastle United have also been tracking Valencia's 19-year-old midfielder David Otorbi. Tottenham are also interested in signing Japanese midfielder Yuito Suzuki, 24, from Freiburg.

Barcelona are monitoring Benfica defender Daniel Banjaqui, 18, and are facing competition from Real Madrid for Stuttgart defender Finn Jeltsch, 20, with Liverpool also showing interest. Arsenal and Tottenham are keeping an eye on Barcelona youngster Xavi Espart, 19, but his significant release clause could be a hurdle.
