British rock band Razorlight has confirmed a series of tour dates across the UK and Ireland, commemorating 20 years since the release of their highly successful self-titled album. The announcement sees the group's original members reunite to perform the 2006 record, which includes some of their most iconic tracks, in full.

The album, Razorlight, marked a significant milestone for the band, reaching the top spot in the UK album chart and yielding their first number one single, 'America'. This period cemented their status in the British music scene, having emerged from a vibrant London musical landscape that also produced acts such as The Libertines and Amy Winehouse. Other notable tracks from the album, such as 'In The Morning', 'Before I Fall To Pieces', and 'I Can’t Stop This Feeling I’ve Got', will also feature prominently in the live shows.

The tour will feature the original line-up of frontman Johnny Borrell, drummer Andy Burrows, guitarist Bjorn Agren, and bassist Carl Dalemo. This reunion is particularly significant given the band's history, which saw Borrell and Burrows' initial songwriting partnership at its core before Burrows' departure in 2009. The group previously re-formed in 2021 for their 'Razorwhat? The Best Of Razorlight' compilation tour.

Reflecting on the album's creation, Johnny Borrell commented on the unique musical connection he shared with Andy Burrows during that period, describing it as an 'amazing musical connection' that led to an abundance of songwriting. He noted that the album 'started to sound like a greatest hits', a clear indicator of its enduring appeal and impact.

Before arriving in the UK and Ireland, Razorlight will commence their tour with a run of dates across Europe. Their UK leg kicks off in November, with performances scheduled in cities including Glasgow, Newcastle, Wolverhampton, and Leeds. The band will then move on to Nottingham, Manchester, London, and Bristol, before concluding the tour in Belfast and Dublin on December 14. Support acts for the tour include London punk-inspired duo The Molotovs, with The K’s joining for the OVO Arena Wembley show in December, further celebrating British guitar music.

Tickets for the Razorlight 20th anniversary tour are set to go on general sale on Friday, June 19, at 9am. This tour offers fans a chance to experience a seminal album from the mid-2000s indie rock era performed by its original creators, providing a nostalgic journey for many and an insight into a pivotal moment in British music history.
