Reading & Leeds Festival has announced its most extensive staging and arena revamp to date for the 2026 event. The changes aim to enhance the festival experience with new and upgraded stages.

  • Reading & Leeds Festival 2026 to feature 'biggest staging and arena overhaul' ever.
  • The festival will run from Thursday 27 August to Sunday 30 August 2026.
  • New stages include The Gallery and The Warehouse, alongside an upgraded Main Stage, now called The Grid.
  • Six headliners confirmed: Fontaines D.C., Florence + The Machine, Dave, Charli XCX, RAYE and Chase & Status.
  • Leeds Festival will host its first-ever Thursday night headliner with Kasabian.

The wait is over – Reading & Leeds Festival has thrown open its gates for 2026, boasting the biggest overhaul of its iconic stages and arenas yet. For one unforgettable summer weekend (Thursday 27 August to Sunday 30 August), Little John’s Farm in Reading will be transformed into a vibrant festival hub, while Bramham Park in Leeds will pulsate with music and energy.

The line-up is already bursting at the seams – six headliners were confirmed way back in December: Fontaines D.C., Florence + The Machine, Dave, Charli XCX, RAYE, and Chase & Status. Kasabian are set to make history as the first-ever Thursday night headliner exclusively for Leeds Festival. Other big-name additions include Skepta, Loyle Carner (who'll be taking centre stage at Reading only), Holly Humberstone, Declan McKenna, Maisie Peters, and Cruz Beckham – a diverse bunch that promises something for every music fan.

But it's not just the headliners that will get your adrenaline pumping – with up to six distinct stages in action across both sites, including The Grid, rebranded for 2026, as well as The Gallery (an immersive stage with LED screen lights and innovative production), and The Warehouse (a dedicated dance music venue with viewing platforms and massive screens). And if you're looking for something new, don't miss The Ballroom – a transformed stage featuring chandeliers and draping that will showcase the best of emerging talent. Or get ready to discover fresh sounds on the Canopy stage, where up-and-coming artists take centre stage.

And it's not just about the music – Reading & Leeds is all about providing an unforgettable experience. The Yard (Reading only) promises a unique alternative club culture vibe, while LS23 in Leeds offers a late-night soundtrack that'll keep you dancing till the wee hours. With its continued investment in innovative staging and infrastructure, the festival has proven once again why it's one of the UK's most-loved summer events.

Why this matters: For hundreds of thousands of UK music fans, Reading & Leeds is a significant cultural event, and these extensive changes aim to improve the experience and potentially attract an even wider audience.

What this means for you: What this means for you: If you are planning to attend Reading & Leeds Festival, these upgrades suggest a more immersive and varied experience, potentially impacting ticket demand and future pricing. For local businesses, the festival continues to bring significant economic activity.
