Conor Curran, a former contestant on MasterChef Australia and reality show 'The Challenge', is engaged to Chris and plans to move to England with him next year. Curran met Chris in early 2022 in Adelaide, after Chris had recently arrived from England.
Their initial nine-hour date was followed by a casual relationship. However, while Curran was filming 'The Challenge' in Argentina, Chris provided significant support. Curran stated that the demands of the show put his mental health "on a knife's edge", and Chris would answer calls at 3am.
Curran used 53 of his 60 allotted weekly video call minutes to speak with Chris during the month of filming. After returning to Melbourne, Curran gave Chris a letter expressing his feelings, and Chris reciprocated, saying he loved him too. Curran also received therapy, paid for by the network, to help with the toll the reality TV filming took on his mental health.
