Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, often portrayed as rivals, displayed a thriving on-court relationship during USA's 108-56 quarter-final win against Hungary on Thursday. Their growing chemistry was evident, including a pick-and-roll play that led to a Reese layup and Clark receiving a pass for an easy layup later in the game.

Reese commented on their connection, stating, "She’s got it for me a lot of times so it’s probably finally due for me to get one to her and she easily finished it." Clark added that many narratives about their relationship are "false takes," and she appreciates their shared competitiveness.

In the dominant performance, Napheesa Collier was USA’s top-scorer with 19 points. Clark contributed nine assists and 10 points, while Reese had six rebounds and nine points. The Americans are aiming for their fifth consecutive World Cup title and will proceed to the semi-finals on Saturday.
