Reform UK has received £72 million in new donations from crypto billionaires Christopher Harborne and Ben Delo over the past weekend. This follows a previous £5 million gift from Christopher Harborne to Nigel Farage.
The party is already looking to recruit more than 60 local organisers in key areas of the country. These funds could allow Reform UK to build targeting data for constituencies it aims to win and invest in canvassing tools and its ReformPro software.
The donations also provide significant potential for social media advertising, including micro-targeted paid ads on platforms like YouTube and Facebook. Additionally, Theo Bertram of the Social Market Foundation suggests the party may invest in policy expertise and preparation for government, potentially recruiting legal and constitutional experts. The funds could also be used to improve candidate vetting and support legal challenges.
