  • Reform UK's Treasury spokesperson, Robert Jenrick, is set to hold a press conference today at 10 am.
  • The Metropolitan Police has stated it will take no further action against Green Party leader Zack Polanski regarding a social media post.
  • The Ministry of Justice is due to publish figures on assaults and deaths in prisons in England and Wales at 9:30 am.

Reform UK is holding a press conference this morning, featuring Robert Jenrick, the party’s Treasury spokesperson. Jenrick is expected to address Andy Burnham’s speech yesterday concerning social care reform.

The Metropolitan Police has announced that no further action will be taken against Green Party leader Zack Polanski. This decision follows a review of a social media post depicting a man with a T-shirt showing a guillotine and the phrase “we’re only making plans for Nigel”. The Met stated it is “unlikely that the sharing of the image online would constitute a criminal offence” and cited the widespread sharing of the post as a reason against taking action solely against Polanski.

Reform UK has expressed dissatisfaction with the Met's decision, with a party spokesperson claiming, “Once again we see that we are living in two-tier Britain.” In contrast, the Green Party asserted it was “obvious from the start” that Polanski had not committed an offence.

Separately, the Ministry of Justice is scheduled to publish figures today regarding assaults and deaths in prisons across England and Wales.
