Renault is updating its 5 E-Tech range with a new battery for the entry-level model and several cosmetic enhancements. The 5 Evolution will now feature a 36.5kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery, replacing the previous 40kWh unit. This new battery offers a range of 190 miles and charges at 80kW, with a potential for a lower purchase price upon its UK arrival.
For the higher-spec Techno+ and Iconic+ models, the 52kWh battery will see its range extended from 252 miles to 267 miles. Additionally, these models will have new cosmetic options, including gold wheels, a star-patterned roof, grey roofline stripes, and Flame Red paint.
Inside, Iconic+ cars will feature blue and grey seats instead of yellow. The car will also switch between driving modes automatically based on driving style, with the Multi-Sense button removed from the steering wheel, though manual mode selection remains available via the touchscreen.
