Property portal Rightmove has announced a £350m share buyback programme, with purchases currently available. The company stated this initiative is part of its capital allocation policy, designed to return surplus cash to investors and reduce its share capital.

All shares repurchased under the programme will be cancelled. Rightmove anticipates returning more than £400m to shareholders by 31 July 2027, with around £330m of this total expected to come through share buybacks.

The programme received approval from shareholders at the company’s 2026 AGM, authorising the repurchase of up to 76 million ordinary shares. Peel Hunt and UBS have been appointed to carry out the purchases on Rightmove’s behalf, though the company retains the right to suspend, amend, or end the programme at any time.
