Stephen Bradley and David Oakley have been sentenced to four years in prison after raiding Maddy's Store in New Mills, Derbyshire. The pair, who police said pretended to be from Liverpool during the robbery, threatened staff with a knife and an imitation firearm.
Bradley, 56, and Oakley, 48, stole £4,000 worth of cigarettes, £200 in cash, and nine bottles of whiskey. Derbyshire Police stated that the men actually lived about "five minutes down the road" from the shop.
Bradley, of New Street, New Mills, pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of an imitation firearm. Oakley, of no fixed address, admitted robbery and possession of a knife. Both were sentenced at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on 24 June.
