Scottish forward Robbie Ure has made an impactful start to his career at Sevilla, contributing to the club's winning start in La Liga. The 22-year-old, who joined Sevilla for £5.5m from Swedish club Sirius, came off the bench to win a stoppage-time penalty in his debut, helping secure a 2-1 victory against Rayo Vallecano.
Seven days later, Ure started in Sevilla's 3-1 win over 10-man Athletic Club in Bilbao, a result that placed Sevilla at the top of the league table. Despite awaiting his first goal for the Spanish side, his pressing was noted as key to his team's opening goal in the Athletic Club match.
Ure's club form has generated international interest. He is eligible to play for Ukraine through his grandparents and has received contact from the nation. However, he told the BBC last month that his ambition is to play for Scotland, for whom he has previously featured at Under-19 level.
New Scotland head coach Sebastien Pocognoli is currently assessing his options for the upcoming Nations League fixtures next month, leading to fan speculation about Ure's potential inclusion in the squad.
