Frieze London is featuring a sculpture by Thai artist Rirkrit Tiravanija that includes a robotic arm dispensing ibuprofen pills to visitors. The robot repeatedly offers the pills, dropping them if not received.
Elsewhere at the fair, British artist Ella Fleck's installation uses a vibrating platform and a male voice whispering sexual fantasies. This work is based on third-party agencies managing OnlyFans accounts and creating fictional relationships.
Swiss artist Miriam Cahn is presenting an installation comprising 26 years of her self-portraiture. The collection is described as an intense exploration of anxious introspection.
Other notable artworks include headless metallic dog sculptures by Yuli Serfaty, promotional pharmaceutical pens collected by Carolyn Lazard, and custom-scented urinal cakes by Gray Wielebinski.
Frieze Masters also features a 150-million-year-old camarasaurus supremus skull with an embedded allosaurus tooth, displayed by David Aaron Gallery. Works by Haitian modernist Luce Turnier and 19th-century French academic painter William-Adolphe Bouguereau are also on display.
