While Pollock, who recently joined Matchroom Talent Agency, could qualify as a marquee player outside the cap in the 2027-28 season, flankers typically do not command such high salaries in the Premiership. The average back-row player earned £192,358 in the 2024-25 season, which is £15,000 more than the average centre but over £60,000 less than a fly-half.
For a hypothetical £1m salary, a club could sign three players earning £300,000 each, double Pollock's current £150,000 wage. It is suggested that Pollock's value lies more in off-field commercial opportunities than in club wages.
