Indian startup Runable has raised $21 million in Series A funding to expand its AI agent from building websites and apps to helping small businesses find customers and grow. The all-equity round was co-led by Susquehanna Venture Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, with existing investors Together Fund and Array VC participating, and valued Runable at $65 million after investment.
Founded in 2025 by Umesh Kumar and Saksham Sarda, the Bengaluru-based startup initially built browser technology to scrape data at scale before pivoting to a general-purpose AI agent. The company says it now has about 1.7 million registered users, with the US, UK and Japan among its largest markets.
Runable's agent lets users create websites, apps and presentations using natural language prompts, while handling deployment and analytics. The startup is now extending it to run ad campaigns, manage social media, handle SEO and optimise a business's presence in AI chatbot results.
Chief executive Kumar said the aim is to let small business owners ask Runable to get a certain number of customers rather than setting up separate tools. He acknowledged the company currently has negative gross margins, partly because it subsidises AI usage, but said falling inference costs should help improve its economics.
In a test, Runable built and deployed a website for a fictional coffee subscription business and prepared an ad campaign, but stopped short of running it without a connected advertising account. The company said the ability to run ads without customers connecting their own accounts is currently available for ads on ChatGPT.
