Ryan Garcia secured a dominant victory over Conor Benn on Saturday night, retaining his World Boxing Council welterweight championship. The 28-year-old American defeated Benn inside two rounds at the T-Mobile Arena, dropping the British challenger with a right hand before the referee intervened.

The decisive moment came early in the second round when Garcia landed a right hand that sent Benn to the canvas. Although Benn managed to get back to his feet, he appeared hurt, leading to the referee stopping the fight at the 1 minute 25 second mark.

Following his win, Garcia, who was making his first defence of the welterweight title, expressed his readiness to take on other top fighters. He specifically called out Teófimo López, who was present ringside, stating, "I want to unify against Teófimo." Garcia also challenged Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson.

Conor Benn, 29, was transported to hospital for observation after the fight. He later posted on social media, acknowledging, "Not my night, no excuses," and calling Garcia "a great champion."
