Ryder Cup stars Robert MacIntyre, Patrick Reed, Francesco Molinari, and Sepp Straka are confirmed to play in the Irish Open. The event is scheduled to take place at the Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg, County Clare, from 9-13 September.
The field for the tournament also includes defending champion Rory McIlroy, two-time major winner John Rahm, and home favourites Shane Lowry and Padraig Harrington. Other notable players include Luke Donald, Tyrrell Hatton, and the Hojgaard brothers, Rasmus and Nicolai.
American golfer Patrick Reed, who won the Masters in 2018, currently leads the Race to Dubai and has secured two victories on the DP World Tour this year. Reed, 36, left LIV Golf in January and is eligible to return to the PGA Tour this month.
It is expected that US President Donald Trump will attend the Irish Open as part of his visit to the Republic of Ireland.
