Safe Pro Group, a London-listed defence technology firm, has confirmed it will provide operational support for a United States Army airfield exercise scheduled for June 2025. The company, which focuses on artificial intelligence-driven drone detection and counter-drone systems, said the deployment will involve its airborne threat identification and response platforms.
The announcement comes as military forces worldwide accelerate investment in protecting airbases from small unmanned aerial systems. Safe Pro’s technology uses machine learning to distinguish between friendly and hostile drones, a capability increasingly demanded by NATO allies. The US Army exercise is expected to test the company’s systems in realistic, high-tempo scenarios.
For UK investors, Safe Pro’s involvement with the US military signals potential for further contract wins. The company, which trades on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market, has seen its share price rise in recent months amid heightened defence spending. Analysts have noted that the global counter-drone market could exceed £10 billion by 2030, driven by threats to critical infrastructure and military assets.
