Sale Sharks clinched a 28-24 victory over Harlequins at CorpAcq Stadium in Salford today, 11 October 2026. A penalty try in the 73rd minute secured the win for Sale, who came from behind after Harlequins had threatened an upset.

Harlequins, despite the return of Marcus Smith who scored twice in the opening quarter, suffered their third consecutive loss of the Gallagher Premiership season. This result leaves Jason Gilmore’s team rooted to the foot of the table, even after showing an improvement from their previous 48-0 defeat to Gloucester.

Sale, following an opening-day loss to Bristol, have now recorded back-to-back wins against Saracens and Harlequins. This victory marks their fifth successive win against Harlequins in league and European competitions.
