A biography of Sir Keir Starmer, titled 'Keir Starmer: The Biography' and penned by journalist Tom Baldwin, has been added to the Downing Street library. Sir Keir, the former Prime Minister, personally donated the book to the collection, which now holds over 400 volumes.
The library, founded in 1931 by Ramsay MacDonald, the first Labour Prime Minister, invites prime ministers and ministers to contribute. In addition to Sir Keir's donation, seven ministers who served in his government have also added books.
Among the new contributions are former Chancellor Rachel Reeves's 'Alice in Westminster: The political life of Alice Bacon', and Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy's 'All In: How we build a country that works'. Other donations include books from Darren Jones, Nick Thomas-Symonds, Bridget Phillipson, Jo Stevens, and James Murray.
