The queue to access the peak of Yr Wyddfa has been a recurring topic in the press since 2013, with its existence spanning roughly a decade and a half. Videos posted online show individuals bypassing the line, with one climber stating, "Imagine queueing on a mountain. No chance." Another video was captioned, "Won’t catch me hiking for two hours to spend 30 minutes queueing at the top."
Approximately 600,000 people ascend Yr Wyddfa's summit each year.
