Australia's Socceroos secured a 1-1 draw against Brazil in an international friendly held in Townsville. The match, played at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, saw Nestory Irankunda open the scoring for Australia with a magnificent 68th-minute free kick.

Brazil, featuring stars such as Bruno Guimarães, Raphinha, and Vinícius Júnior, managed to salvage a draw when Rayan headed in an equaliser deep in added time, following a corner from Raphinha.

The game was played in front of a sold-out crowd of 25,440. Despite the draw, Irankunda's performance, including his perfectly placed free kick, stood out against a strong Brazilian side managed by Carlo Ancelotti.
