A man has been charged with the manslaughter of his elderly father, a farmer who died from gunshot wounds in a field in Scarisbrick, Lancashire. Adam Olverson, 31, of Pinfold Lane, Scarisbrick, is accused in connection with the death of 75-year-old Thomas Olverson, who was discovered on Pinfold Lane at approximately 5:00 PM BST on Thursday, 25th July 2024.
Lancashire Police confirmed that Mr Olverson junior faces charges of manslaughter, possession of a firearm without a licence, and possession of ammunition without a licence. He is scheduled to appear before Preston Magistrates' Court on Wednesday to face these allegations.
