South Africa powered to a 43-28 win against New Zealand in Baltimore, securing a 3-1 series success in their Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry Series. The Springboks, who are world champions, scored four second-half tries to seal the victory.
South Africa held a narrow 17-14 lead at half-time. Quickfire close-range tries from Malcolm Marx and Pieter-Steph du Toit early in the second half shifted the momentum firmly in their favour.
Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu opened the scoring with a penalty, while All Blacks captain Codie Taylor crossed for an early try. Damian de Allende and Morne van den Berg also scored for South Africa, with Will Jordan cutting the deficit for New Zealand before the break. Ethan Blackadder scored for the All Blacks in the second half, but Kurt-Lee Arendse and Cameron Hanekom added further tries for South Africa. Beauden Barrett scored a late consolation try for New Zealand.
