SpaceX, the Elon Musk-run business, is scheduled to release its second-quarter earnings report today, Tuesday, August 4, 2026. This marks the first time the trillion-dollar corporation's financials will be publicly disclosed since its initial public offering (IPO) in June.
The company's stock has experienced a significant decline since its IPO, plummeting by 24% and erasing nearly $500bn in market capitalisation. This drop follows a blockbuster debut that briefly valued SpaceX at $2tn.
Analysts from global brokerage firm XTB are forecasting SpaceX's revenue for the quarter to be $6.93bn, with an anticipated loss of 26 cents per share. Kathleen Brooks, research director at XTB, noted that the share price is down 50% from its peak and is trading below its IPO price, leading to investor jitters.
SpaceX, which includes Starlink, xAI, X, and its rocket business, was not profitable last year, recording an operating loss of $4.3bn on revenues of $18.7bn. Starlink is identified as the only profitable segment. Analysts predict quarterly revenues of $835m for space, $3.38bn for connectivity, and $2.18bn for AI.
