Tottenham Hotspur have finally secured their first Premier League victory of the season, defeating Coventry 3-1 at home. This result sees Roberto De Zerbi's side climb out of the bottom three.
James Maddison opened the scoring with a brilliant goal, marking his first start in 536 days. Omar Marmoush added a second in the 59th minute, though Coventry players reportedly protested the goal, claiming Marmoush elbowed Milan van Ewijk. Ben Davies sealed the win with a third goal in added time.
The match also saw Dejan Kulusevski make his first appearance after more than a season out due to a knee injury suffered in May 2025. Mohammed Kudus, playing as an attacking right wing-back, provided the assist for Maddison's goal.
