At least one person has been killed and five injured in an overnight attack on St Petersburg. The strikes successfully targeted two of the city's oil facilities, according to Governor Alexander Beglov.
Fires were being extinguished at the St Petersburg Oil Terminal and the Ruchyi oil depot. A logistics centre belonging to Ozon, described as Russia's Amazon, and a data centre for VKontakte, Russia's equivalent of Facebook, were also hit.
VKontakte confirmed its regional data centre was targeted by a drone but stated services were available as usual after early morning outages. Ozon also confirmed its local logistics centre was hit by a drone, leading to a fire and staff evacuation. It is not currently accepting shipments at that location.
Russia's defence ministry claimed it shot down over 1,000 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight into Sunday. The St Petersburg governor also reported damage to 12 apartment buildings and two homes, with Pulkovo Airport temporarily closed and mobile internet disruption possible.
