Strangers at Boomtown Fair helped an autistic man, Adam James, 23, from High Wycombe, to "realise all of his dreams" after he attended his first festival alone. His father, Andy, had initially been concerned for his safety.
Andy's worries "melted away" after Adam befriended a group of festival-goers who invited him to camp with them and helped him enjoy the five-day event in Hampshire. Adam, also known as Adzo, said he was nervous but everything changed within 10 minutes of meeting the group.
Following the festival, Andy shared a thank-you post to the "lads from Bristol" on social media, which subsequently went viral. This viral post has resulted in Adam, an aspiring drum and bass DJ, being booked for several gigs.
