The BBC's long-running dance competition, Strictly Come Dancing, has announced its first eight celebrity contestants for the 2026 series. The lineup promises to be an exciting mix of reality TV stars, soap actors, and a talented pop singer.
The first confirmed contestant is EastEnders star Lacey Turner, who has played the role of Stacey Slater on the popular soap since 2004. Turner has won multiple awards during her time on the show and has also appeared in stage productions and TV dramas.
Another familiar face returning to the ballroom is Dani Dyer, who withdrew from the show last year due to injury. The TV personality, whose father is EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, is now being given a second chance by Strictly bosses.
The lineup also includes Australian singer Delta Goodrem, who has performed on many different stages throughout her career. Goodrem has been a judge on The Voice Australia and competed for her country at the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing fourth earlier this year.
The other confirmed contestants are Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Delta Goodrem, Chris Appleton, Cach Mercer, and three more yet to be announced.
