Celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton is the latest addition to this year's Strictly Come Dancing line-up. The Leicester-born Colour Wow creative director said he is 'thrilled' to be joining the show and 'coming home to the UK for this incredible experience.'
Appleton has worked with a number of high-profile clients, including Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande. His work has been showcased on the covers of publications such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Vanity Fair.
The 24th series of Strictly is expected to begin in September, with Appleton joining a cast that already includes singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem, EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, and reality star Dani Dyer. The show's new hosting trio will be presented by Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe, and comedian Josh Widdicombe.
Appleton's memoir, 'Your Roots Don't Define You', was released earlier this year. He said he is 'excited to take a chance' and 'try something new' on the dance floor.
The first line-up announcements have come earlier than usual, with the BBC confirming the full cast in August. Shirley Ballas, one of the show's head judges, has expressed her 'amazement' at the line-up.
