Strutt & Parker has strengthened its London broker team with the appointment of Hamish Gilfeather, a move that continues the expansion of its hybrid estate agency model. Separately, Propertymark has announced its new presidential team following its Annual General Meeting.
- Hamish Gilfeather joins Strutt & Parker as Senior Associate Director in its broker team.
- The appointment expands Strutt & Parker's coverage across prime North West London areas.
- Propertymark has confirmed its new leadership team, including presidents for ARLA and NAEA Propertymark.
- These changes occur as the property sector adapts to evolving market demands and regulatory reforms.
Strutt & Parker has bolstered its London broker team with a key senior appointment, bringing in Hamish Gilfeather as a Senior Associate Director. This strategic move is part of the firm's expansion of its hybrid estate agency model, which was launched earlier this year.
In his new role, Mr Gilfeather will work closely with existing North West London brokers Zach Madison, James Diaper, and Sarah James to enhance Strutt & Parker's market presence in affluent areas such as Hampstead, Highgate, St John’s Wood, Queen’s Park, and Regent’s Park.
Mr Gilfeather joins the firm from John D Wood, where he spent over two decades specialising in Primrose Hill and Belsize Park markets. Claire Reynolds, UK Head of Sales at Strutt & Parker, praised his extensive knowledge of micro-markets, stating that it makes him a valuable addition as the firm looks to increase its market share in prime target locations.
This expansion comes as many estate agencies adapt their operational structures to meet changing client needs and market conditions. Strutt & Parker's recent recruitment drive has also seen Alex Robinson appointed as a director in the broker team, with Michael Harte and Reem Dougramaji joining as senior associate directors in the Knightsbridge & Belgravia office.
Why this matters: The expansion of Strutt & Parker's team signals continued competition and investment in the UK's prime property market, while Propertymark's new leadership will influence standards and policy engagement across the entire property sector.
What this means for you: What this means for you: If you are looking to buy or sell property in prime London areas, you may see an increased presence and service offering from firms like Strutt & Parker. For those involved in the property industry, the new Propertymark leadership will be instrumental in shaping professional standards and responding to regulatory changes that affect how property transactions are conducted.
