A new teen musical film, 'Don't Say Good Luck', stars Sunny Sandler as Soph, a shy theatre student who secures the lead role in her school's production of 'Waitress'. The film is directed and co-written by Julia Hart, with Adam Sandler serving as a co-producer.
Soph's mother, Elizabeth, played by Melanie Lynskey, is battling cancer. Elizabeth considers delaying telling Soph about her illness until after the show's run, to avoid spoiling her daughter's significant moment.
The film also features Stephanie Beatriz as director Ms Parker, Jack Champion as Soph's co-star, and support from Bebe Neuwirth, Steve Buscemi, and Jon Lovitz.
