Tottenham have officially announced the acquisition of Savinho from Manchester City. The Brazilian winger, aged 22, will now be known as Sávio at his new club.
Spurs have paid £75m for the player, with the agreement potentially rising by a further £10m in add-ons. Sávio expressed his happiness, stating it was a "wonderful opportunity at a brilliant club with one of the best managers in the world."
Head coach Roberto De Zerbi commented on the signing, noting that Sávio "brings energy, imagination and quality in wide positions." De Zerbi added that the player possesses "the courage to attack defenders and the ability to change a game with his creativity."
Sávio is one of several new arrivals for Spurs this summer. Another Manchester City forward, Omar Marmoush, is also anticipated to join, potentially becoming the club's fifth £50m-plus summer signing. Experienced defenders Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson have also joined on free transfers.
