Dominik Szoboszlai has praised his midfield partnership with Alexis Mac Allister, stating he loves playing with the Argentinian. Szoboszlai believes they share an instinctive understanding, allowing them to anticipate each other's moves without needing to communicate verbally.
The duo both found the net in Liverpool's 2-1 Champions League win against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday. Szoboszlai, who signed a new five-year deal this summer, hopes they can form a successful long-term partnership.
However, Mac Allister's future at the club remains uncertain, as he revealed Liverpool informed him they were not in a position to offer him a new contract. Szoboszlai also welcomed Bradley Barcola's performance in his first start for Liverpool since his move from Paris Saint-Germain, a deal potentially worth up to £123m.
Szoboszlai has been named one of Liverpool's vice-captains for the season, alongside Alisson and Joe Gomez. He expressed pride in the role and his intention to demonstrate further leadership qualities on and off the pitch in the coming years.
