Isaac del Toro, a 22-year-old Mexican, secured third place on the podium and also claimed the best young rider's jersey, with Pogacar reportedly assisting his teammate to a stage win.
Remco Evenepoel, 26, also made a strong impression, winning a stage and cementing his status as a top contender. His transfer to Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe appears to have paid off, as he recovered from a challenging first week to perform strongly in the high mountains. Jonas Vingegaard, who won the Giro d'Italia this year, crashed out on stage 15, preventing a potential battle for podium positions.
