Taylor Swift has released an expanded edition of her album, 'The Life of a Showgirl', this week. The new edition, subtitled 'The Encore', adds four new tracks to the critically maligned album.
This release follows Swift's previous statement that the 12-track 'Showgirl' would not be expanded, unlike her earlier album 'The Tortured Poets Department'. Swift revealed on Instagram that the new songs were written during a trip to Sweden with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback, where she found a studio and wrote more songs.
The new tracks, including 'Patient Zero' and 'Pink Clouding', appear to be a response to criticism of the original album. 'Pink Clouding' is described as a mature apology to an ex, while 'Cleveland!' focuses on her relationship with Travis Kelce.
