Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey has commenced a share buyback programme valued at £41.9 million. Purchases under the programme are set to begin immediately and are scheduled to conclude by the end of December.

Merrill Lynch International has been appointed by Taylor Wimpey to execute the buyback. The bank will make trading decisions independently, adhering to agreed terms.

Taylor Wimpey stated that the programme, which excludes associated fees, expenses, and stamp duty, aims to reduce the company’s share capital. Any shares repurchased as part of this initiative will be cancelled.

Purchases may be made on the London Stock Exchange, operating under the authority granted by shareholders at the company’s Annual General Meeting on 28 April 2026. This authority permits the repurchase of up to 333.8 million ordinary shares. The programme will comply with UK Market Abuse Regulation and UK Listing Rules, with Taylor Wimpey planning to issue further announcements as shares are repurchased.
