Team NI's diverse squad is primed and ready to unleash their skills in lawn bowls, swimming, boxing, and gymnastics – it's going to be a real nail-biter!

The morning gets off to a cracking start at 08:30 BST with Gary Kelly taking on New Zealand's Shannon McIlroy in the men's singles lawn bowls match. Having already secured a victory against Niue on Thursday, our star bowler will be looking to make it two wins from two. Later, at 11:20, Shauna O'Neill and Chloe Wilson will face off against Niue again in the women's pairs – can they make it back-to-back victories?

The Tollcross Swimming Centre is set to be a hub of activity from 10:30 BST, with an action-packed morning of heats showcasing our top swimmers. Victoria Catterson leads the charge in the women's 400m freestyle, while Grace Davison and Lottie Cullen will be giving it their all in the women's 200m backstroke. Conor Ferguson and Paddy Johnston are set to go head-to-head in the 50m backstroke, with Alana Burns-Aiken taking on the 50m butterfly and Adam Bradley aiming for glory in the 100m breaststroke. Don't be surprised if some of our swimmers make a splash – or rather, a dash for the podium!

Over at the SEC Centre, one of Northern Ireland's boxing hopefuls will step into the ring, ready to rumble! Louis Rooney is scheduled to compete in the men's bantamweight 55kg round of 32 against Mathealira Seholoholo from Lesotho. Their bout gets underway at 11:45 – can our boxer take down his opponent and move a step closer to gold?

And finally, the Emirates Arena will be abuzz with energy as gymnastics takes centre stage from 13:00 BST. Olympic champion Rhys McClenaghan leads the Team NI charge alongside Ewan McAteer and Eamon Montgomery – can they spring into action and secure their places in subsequent rounds of competition?
