The fourth season finale of the Apple TV series Ted Lasso, which aired on Wednesday, featured a major reshuffle of coaching positions at AFC Richmond. Ted Lasso, played by Jason Sudeikis, moved from managing the club's women's team, the Lady Greyhounds, to an assistant manager role alongside Coach Beard, played by Brendan Hunt.
Alice Chilton, portrayed by Tanya Reynolds, took over as manager of the Lady Greyhounds. Meanwhile, former Richmond player and coach Roy Kent, played by Brett Goldstein, accepted a new position as Chelsea's manager, leaving the men's team without a head coach.
Brendan Hunt, who is also a co-creator, executive producer, and writer for the series, revealed that Sudeikis had intended for Ted to step down from the beginning of the writers' room. Hunt also stated that there is currently no indication of a fifth season for the show.
